A 57-year-old man refuses treatment for the tooth #5 for 22 months (Fig.1). *: large periapical radiolucency, probably due to 1 missing canal.
Fig.2: Design of implant. The mesiodistal width of the root is less than 5 mm, whereas the width of the radiolucency is 7 mm. The diameter of the implant could be as wide as 5 mm. The length from the gingival margin to the sinus floor is 16 mm. Therefore the length of the implant will be 17 mm.
