When 4.5x20 mm tap (Fig.7: #12) and 4.5x17 mm implant (Fig.8 I) are placed at the site of #12, there is distance from the root of the neighboring tooth (#11).
#14 in Fig.7 represents a 4.5x14 mm tap (T) which is inserted in the septum close to the palatal socket without sinus membrane perforation. The apical end of the tap is close to the apex of the palatal socket.
When the 6x14 mm tapered implant (Fig.8 I) is placed, it is in the palatal socket of #14. It appears that the palatal socket is completely obliterated by the implant. A: abutments.
