With further seating of the implant, a 5.5x5(4) mm abutment is used (Fig.4), which closes the access.  No suture is warranted.  An immediate provisional is fabricated for the patient's comfort and psychological effect.  In fact, the abutment cuff changes to 5 mm prior to temporarization.  There appears no bone loss <4 months postop (Fig.5).  The margin is prepped except mesial prior to impression.
