Fig.2 (preop PA): Eno failure of the upper left 2nd molar (15). The sinus floor (^) appears to be lower than the apex of the socket (*). The socket is large due to existing chronic infection (endo perio disease). Scaling & root planing of the upper left quadrant is carried out after extraction and before implantation.
The implant is expected to be large to engage into peripheral bone of the socket to obtain primary stability.
Sinus lift is also planned to engage the implant as much as bone possibly circumferential to the sinus floor, which is the lowest (Next).
