Sinus Lifter
A 56-year-old woman has had sign of root fracture at the site of 15 for the last 3 years (Fig.2,3), 5 years after RCT (Fig.1). It appears that the sinus floor is around 1 mm and consists of the cortical bone (Fig.2). After extraction and Clindamycin disinfection, IBS Sinus Lifter (2 3) will be used, followed by allograft placement, 4.3 mm long drill, and 5x9 mm dummy implant. Take PA and measure depths relative to the sinus floor and crest. Prepare latch and hand implant drivers as well as calibrated torque wrench. Amalgam and large bone carriers should be available. Although primary stability is expected to be low, an immediate provisional should be fabricated with sufficient occlusal clearance. Since the bone density is high, use higher voltage to take X-ray.
