Long-Termed Residual Roots

A 60-year-old woman requests extraction of the upper right 2nd and third molars and one implant (Fig.1).  Although there is no problem of bone height, the intermaxillary vertical space is limited (data not shown).  After implant (Fig.2) and abutment placement, the opposing tooth may need heavy reduction.  Pay attention to implant trajectory so that a straight abutment will be used to avoid restorative complication (screw loosening).
