Implant in Limited Height
A 49-year-old lady is petit. The crest at #30 is narrow. A small implant is placed. To increase its longevity, the patient should have left 1st molar occlusion. Bone density at #19 is D1 (the cortex), D4 (upper medulla) and D3 (lower medulla) (Fig.1). Bone is wide enough to hold a 6 mm (in diameter) implant, but a 8 mm long implant appears to be too long (Fig.2). Therefore, a 6 or 6.5x6 mm implant appears to be appropriate (Fig.3). How about the bone at #14?
