Implant in Narrow Crest

A 49-year-old lady is petit.  An implant is placed at #3 and ready for restoration.  The crest at #30 is narrow (Fig.1 ^).  Bone density at the cortex, around the Inferior Alveolar Canal (IAC) and the medulla is D1, D2 and D3, respectively.  It appears that a 10 mm bone-level implant is too close to IAC (Fig.2), whereas a 8 mm one has enough clearance (Fig.3,4).  With the same diameter, there will be less thread exposure if the implant is placed a little lingually (Fig.4 (between arrows), as compared to Fig.3).

Since the patient is small and the cortex is dense, a 4.5x8.5 mm UF implant should meet masticatory force as long as #14 and 19 also receive implants.  Her mouth should be small.  Consider using sensor 1.舌侧骨板厚，适当磨去，让植体舌侧移动。
