An immediate provisional is cemented without occlusal contact (Fig.9 P).
The immediate provisional can hold the bone graft in place better than perio dressing. In addition, it prevents the adjacent teeth from shifting and the opposing teeth from supraerupting (to lesser extent) during osteointegration.
