Fig.8 (intraop PA): A 7x17 mm implant (I) has enough engagement into the new bone, while it has sufficient clearance from the inferior alveolar nerve (red dashed line).  Mixture of autogenous bone (harvested from reamers) and Osteogen (Impladent) is placed in the periphery of the socket prior to and after implant placement (*).

When the patient returns 18 months postop, the mesial portion of the provisional is lost with loosening abutment with bone fill in the mesial socket (Fig.13).  The distal socket density increases.
