For easy implant placement and reduction in thread exposure, the ridge will be trimmed more exactly funnel shaped (Fig.4 (sagittal section) arrowheads to accommodate the shape of the cemented abutment (pink)). After placing a 5x10 mm UF implant (green), bone graft to be placed (Fig.5 red circles) remains in place followed by collagen dressing (buccolingually). Because of reduction of the bone height (3.1 mm), the cuff of the abutment will be long, 5 mm (1.9 (original gingival thickness) + 3.1 mm).
