Steps of Bone Expansion (Illustration)
After incision and flap elevation, use #15 blade (Fig.1 white outline) to start bone expansion as lingual as possible (white line). Use bone scalpels, bone blades and D osteotomes to push the bone buccally (Fig.2 arrow). Use 2 mm pilot drill to initiate osteotomy as lingual and mesial as possible (Fig.3 white circle). The next step is to use bone expanders as apical as possible (Fig.4 white circle). If the apical bone is hard, use drills at 50 RPM (to collect bone).
