The narrow ridge at #10 is long (Fig.8); after truncating the pointed ridge for 5-6 mm (Fig.9 red line), a 2.5 mm 1-piece implant is placed parallel to the palatal wall. Place a finger against the palate while drilling; control the coronal end of the drill buccal to the imaginary incisal edge of the lower tooth. Separate the drill from the handpiece and check the occlusal relationship. Since the ridge is reduced, the cuff of the abutment should be 4 mm.
Also keep the smallest drill in place for PA.
