Good Candidate for Guided Surgery?
A healthy 37-year-old woman has 3 missing lower molars (Fig.1 panoramic view from CBCT). She has had implants at #8 and 10. The bone height for these molars is shown in Fig.2. The 1st molar ridges appear to be narrow (Fig.4,5,6), as compared to that of the 2nd molar (Fig.3 (B: buccal)). Ridge reduction seems to be necessary for the 1st molar sites prior to implant (green area) placement or deeper osteotomy.
