Bone Graft or Immediate Implant
A 63-year-old woman wants to extract the tooth #18 with crack before termination of dental insurance (Fig.1). It is also possible to place an immediate implant in the septum (Fig.2). Socket shield is not needed because of the wide bone. If the implant is too close to the tooth #17, section the mesial portion of the latter (red dashed line), since removing the impacted tooth may risk injury to the Inferior Alveolar Canal (Fig.3,4). Draw one tube of blood for sticky bone.
