A 54-year-old man presents to office with a request to get a tooth back in the upper left posterior region (Fig.1 #14).  Upon examination, he feels that the tooth #2 is mobile, requiring more urgent care (Fig.2).  The infection also involves the tooth #1.  Extraction of the latter seems to be imminent.
