A few days prior to surgery, the tooth #12 developed abscess, self controlled by water pik (Fig.1 *).  The buccal plate is defective.  A piece of Osteogen Tape is placed against the inner surface of the buccal gingiva before bone graft with intention to prevent the graft from leakage.  In fact the membrane should be unstable and displaced by the graft.  After provisional, periodontal dressing is applied to have extra safeguard (prevention of loss of the bone graft).
