Cantilever (I) FPD

Remove superficial caries from the root stump (curette and surgical handpiece) and finish osteotomy while the residual root in place (Fig.1').  Remove the residual root (Fig.1'' red) except the buccal socket shield (S).  Conduct osteotomy using guide (Fig.4' black) while the root is in place.  Use the solid tooth and bony structure as a stopper for sinus lift (DIO sinus lift kit).  Remove the remaining root (Fig.4'' (2nd smaller black area) except buccal shield (S) and place an implant.
