Place Implant Away From Lesion
A 59-year-old nervous woman has poor dentition with upper left pain (Fig.1). Composite was placed at #12 and sedative filling at #13 two years ago. If the tooth #14 causes discomfort, it should be extracted for bone graft or immediate implant (Fig.4). PRF will be prepared (x2, white and red). The implant will be placed slightly palatal (P, Fig.2), since the residual buccal roots are more likely associated with buccal plate bone loss. If she agrees with treatment planning, take 5x5 cm CT for the bone loss and sinus. Sinus lift seems necessary because of short bone and septum (Fig.2,3).
