Cross Match of Abutments vs. Implants

A 55-year-old woman had Hiossen implants (4x13, 5x13 mm) placed at #12 and 14 in China > 6 months (Fig.1,2).  The fixtures are placed deep and un-parallel mesiodistally.  After SRP UL, the implant at #12 is uncovered, followed by 4.6 and 5.5 mm profile drills and 5.5x7 mm IS healing abutment.  The healing abutment at #14 is changed from 5x7 mm to 6.8x7 mm for easy impression later on.   Due to coronavirus, the patient returns 8 months later.  Oral hygiene is poor.  The gingival cuffs at #12 and 14 are erythematous and edematous.  UF cemented abutments have to be placed (Fig.3-5) because of equi-gingival fracture of #3 and 4 splinted crowns.  In fact the straight abutments are not parallel buccopalatally.  Buccoocclusal reduction is done at #12 for provisional FPD.  SRP will be performed with #11 DL composite prior to impression.
