Fig.3  In the 2nd molar region, the top of the bone (ridge) is quite narrow (pink line) for the implant placement (5x11 mm).  On the top of the ridge is a special device to help place the implant in the right position so that the implant tooth can bite against the opposing tooth.  The special device is called surgical guide (G).  It appears that the ridge is not at the same line as the guide.  How can we make them at the same line?  We need to use bone expansion technique.
