Is This Right?

Twenty five months post banding, Class II malocclusion is more severe on the left side (Fig.3) than that on the right (Fig.1) with dental midline mismatch (Fig.3 black lines).  A closed coil spring is placed unilaterally initially (Fig.3).  Is this right (Fig.4)?  Overject and midlines (Fig.5) and posterior interdigitation (Fig.6) are within normal limit 4 months later.  What should be done for retention?
