Long Bone-level Immediate Implant for Upper Canine

A 70-year-old man (ZH) is a dental phobic, but is happy to accept an implant restoration for the tooth #6 (Fig.1 residual root).  The tooth is an abutment for the upper removable partial denture (RPD).  A long UF implant will be used to increase primary stability (Fig.2).  Use the RPD as a surgical guide during osteotomy.  If the trajectory of the implant is not ideal, use an angled abutment.  Otherwise use a temporary or cemented abutment.  The socket will be treated with Metronidazole.
