Wax Up
A 55-year-old lady has history of chronic periodontitis. To stabilize the lower loose teeth, crown at #19-21 and #28-30 are splinted in her home country. She wants to restore the missing teeth #2-5 and #12-14. It appears that some of the splinted crowns are fabricated too high (Fig.1,2 *). Before restoring the missing dentition, these crowns need to be adjusted (in lab repositioned: Fig.3,4 (arrowheads)). In fact, trimming does not produce enough clearance for immediate provisionals. Surgical and restorative stents are made (Fig.5,6).
