Following adjustment of trajectory (as compared to Fig.3), a 7x11 mm implant is placed with insertion torque 60 Ncm (Fig.4 I). Yellow dashed line: the upper border of the inferior alveolar canal.

The new bone formed in the soft tissue region should be able to support the implant.

The implant remains stable 5 months postop (Fig.7).  Apparent new bone is forming toward the distal coronal threads (between arrowheads).

The bone around the implant remains stable 17 months post cementation (Fig.8).
