Implant Dislodgement During Healing
Immediate implant fails almost exclusively in the upper molars (1st or 2nd) when there is severe infection with bone loss. Bone density in the maxillary posterior region is low. Failure of delayed implant placement can occur either in the maxillary (where bone density is low) or mandibular (when infection is not well controlled or an implant is malpositioned) posterior area.
