Bone Graft Due to Limited Bone Height I
After immediate implant at #3, the tooth #31 with distal root fracture (Fig.1 *) and being close to the Inferior Alveolar Canal (red dashed line) is extracted for socket preservation (Fig.2 yellow dashed line). Although no PRF membrane is used to cover the socket, allograft is mixed with PRF liquid. A piece of 6-month membrane is used instead. The bone density is average 1000 units (Fig.3) and the ridge height is maintained 6 months postop (Fig.4). In fact the bone density of the grafted bone is low as compared to that of the native one.
