2nd Contra-indication of Guided Immediate Implant I
A 58-year-old woman has infection after RCT at #31, as related to mesial root fracture (Fig.1 <). Although primary stability should be able to be achieved (3.8 mm in the native bone), a 5x13 mm immediate implant may be too long for mouth opening with guide. Augma may be indicated. Use a condenser to push bone cement apical. But the inventor does not agree. Take preop photos to show the buccal fistula. Prepare IBS kit for free hand placement and GEM21S. Without immediate implant, the buccal plate will collapse.
