Apical Abscess

A 58-year-old man with splinted crowns at #23-26 has buccal abscess and lingual gingival recession at #25 and 26 (Fig.1,2).  Large periapical radiolucency involves all of the 4 incisors (Fig.3).  Note residual crestal bone between the incisors (*).  It appears that a 1-piece implant with 4 mm cuff (Fig.4 pink) should be placed on the right side, while a longer 1-piece implant (23 mm) with shorter cuff (1.5 mm) on the left side.  A provisional FPD will be fabricated from a stent.
