Possible Post-Related Root Fracture

A 47-year-old man cannot chew in the lower right quadrant due to mobility of the tooth #29, which has a post (Fig.1 <).  It appears that there is a  buccal vertical fracture line.  After extraction, osteotomy will be initiated in the mesiolingual aspect of the socket for 7 mm (Fig.2,3).  The bone is dense (600-1,000 units); drills are required.  Take a PA to confirm the trajectory.  Following sequential osteotomy, place a 4x11mm dummy implant before placing a 4x9 or 11 mm definitive one, depending on bone resorption in the last 6 months (compare Fig.2,3 vs. 1).
