Curved Root

A 35-year-old woman has a loose tooth at #6, as related to the residual roots at #18 (Fig.1).  Since the root curves distal, osteotomy will be initiated in the mesial slope (Fig.2) for 18 mm (gingival level).  Proximity of an implant to a neighboring root may be associated with necrosis.  Take PA and the final depth will be established for 18 mm (bone level) if indicated.
