1 or 2 Implants?

A 64-year-old man has a loose FPD at #2-4.  After discussion, he agrees to have it removed for implant at #3 (Fig.1).  In fact the bone loss at #2 is severe (Fig.2, as compared to #4 (Fig.3)).  When the implant osteointegrates (Fig.4), make single unit crowns and let the patient decide whether the tooth #2 is salvageable or not.
