Why Comprehensive Orthodontics for Limited
Malocclusion?
A 45-year-old man with normal facial profile (Fig.1-4) and malocclusion confined to UL quadrant (Fig.5-6) agrees with comprehensive orthodontic treatment. The implant threads at UL6 remain exposed 2 years 4 months postop. Thread exposure should disappears by distalizing UL5 and extruding UL8. Although upper wire sequence should be able to the limited malocclusion, extrusion of UL8 may use the lower arch as an anchor (elastic once a rectangular wire is installed, Fig.7,8).
