Magicore Placement with Guide
After finishing osteotomy at #19 according to IS drill sequence for 4x10 mm implant except cortical tap, a 4x9(2) mm Magicore is placed with ~ 50 Ncm (Fig.1). A 4.5x3 mm solid abutment is placed to check occlusion (Fig.2). There is discrepancy in osteotomy depth probably due to difference between the implant systems or overprep for subcrestal placement (narrow ridge, Fig.2 *). The implant could be 2 mm longer or the cuff could be longer (3 mm instead of 2 mm). The implant with 4.5x3 mm solid abutment is stable for impression nearly 3 months postop (Fig.3). Appreciate the distinct thread pattern of Magicore 3 months 1 week postop, immediately post cementation (Fig.4). Bone density increases 7 months post cementation (Fig.5 *). There is less likely implant fracture associated with a 1-piece one than a 2-piece one when a narrow one is placed in the narrow ridge.
